




Contemporary fashion brand, American Vintage, originated in France and has been focusing on expanding its telltale retail concept, where novelty meets authenticity.
To develop the brand’s presence in the Chinese market, Oriental Retail Ventures provided a two-stage plan.


ORV compromised of China-facing strategy, partnership screening and selection, to sign a remarkable deal with a local partner, establishing AMV in China.

iFLY is the world’s leading indoor sky diving company with over 70 centres across 16 countries including locations in the US, Canada, Western Europe, South America and Asia. To expand their profitable and experiential concept in China, it was imperative to find the right locations as well as keeping up global standards while tailoring the experience to the Chinese customer.

ORV reviewed all of iFLY’s brand assets, from presentations to marketing materials, to customise their business strategy to the local market. Then a full location assessment and real estate expansion strategy was created, along with work flow analysis of each location. Finally, ORV oversaw the negotiations with local venders, to create a smooth and profitable venture.


Mayoral is an international childrenswear brand, born in Malaga, Spain, which now operates in over 100 countries worldwide.


To establish Mayoral's newly revamped brand in China, ORV built a customised plan consisting plan that included screening, selection, and signing the optimal partner for the brand to launch.

Magnanni’s family heritage and future vision are key factors in expanding their craft through their third generation men’s footwear brand.

ORV compiled an extensive competitor portfolio for Magnanni to analyse and use in it’s strategic planning. Then this planning was elevated with a full review of the potential online and offline market, followed be a China retail tour. The brand was able to see retail spaces in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen first-hand, and compile the necessary data to finalise their retail expansion plans in China.



Spanish footwear brand, Pikolinos, have a strong brand identity and company mission of authenticity, originality and naturalness. Their values infuse through everything Pikolinos do, from sourcing their leather to each of their concept stores in major cities around the world.


To build this authentic, original and natural brand in China, ORV localised Pikolinos' strategy for the domestic market. Then a customised franchise business model was created to align with the brand. This allowed for a business expansion within the mono-brand retail concept all over the world, as well providing the necessary tools & training to Pikolinos for a more retail-driven partner management.
